D-IRON CLAMP

About The Product

A D-Iron Clamp (also known as a D-Iron Bracket or D-Iron Fitting) is a type of hardware accessory used in low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) overhead electrical distribution systems. It is designed to support and secure insulators, typically pin type insulators, on wooden, concrete, or metal poles.

The name “D-Iron” comes from its D-shaped structure, which provides robust mechanical support, ensuring proper alignment and mechanical stability of the insulator and conductor it holds.

features

1. High Mechanical Strength: Designed to hold pin insulators under tension and environmental load.
2. Corrosion Resistance: Often hot-dip galvanized to withstand outdoor exposure.
3. Easy Installation: Compatible with bolts, nuts, and washers for quick mounting on poles.
4. Universal Compatibility: Fits most pin-type insulators used in LV/MV lines.
5. Rigid Support: Prevents conductor misalignment and sagging at the pole head.

usage

1. Used to mount pin-type insulators on electric poles for overhead distribution lines.
2. Provides the mechanical base for the insulator to support the conductor.
3. Used primarily in rural electrification, residential lines, and LT/HT distribution networks.
4. Ensures secure positioning of conductors, maintaining proper clearance and phase separation.

installation

1.Mount the D-Iron Clamp onto the pole using bolts and nuts.
2.Insert and fix the pin-type insulator into the central hole of the clamp.
3.Tighten bolts securely to ensure no movement or vibration during operation.
4.Conductor is tied to the insulator using binding wire or tie wire.
